Crochet coasters pattern ✧ Hungry Caterpillar snacks

🍎🍐🫐🐛 Coasters based off everyone's facvourite children's book: the Very Hungry Caterpillar! Works great as a dinner party gift for all those nostalgic cuties and kindergarten teachers in your life. Choose between two designs, or combine them and get a discount.

These tapestries are perfect for advanced beginners who who feel confident using tapestry crochet to switch between colours. There are visual graphs and written graphs to help you make the coasters. Tutorials & guides are linked to explain the more complicated techniques.

Materials:
For four Caterpillar coasters, you'll need
⏺ Yarn (cotton): 10 ply / aran / worsted yarn in six colours:
45 g (approx. 68 m) of off white
5 g (approx. 7.5 m) of dark green
6 g (approx. 9 m) of medium green
5 g (approx. 7.5 m) of light green
1 g (approx. 1.5 m) or yellow
2 g (approx. 3 m) or red

For four Fruit snack coasters, you'll need
⏺ Yarn (cotton): 10 ply / aran / worsted yarn in five colours:
48 g (approx. 73 m) of off white
7 g (approx. 11 m) of medium green
7 g (approx. 11 m) of red
3 g (approx. 5 m) of petrol
1 g (approx. 1.5 m) or brown
plus some scrap yellow yarn

Both require:
⏺ A 4.5 mm crochet hook
⏺ Scissors
⏺ Tapestry needle

Size:
If using the same weight yarn and hook size, each coaster will have the following measurements when finished: width 11.5 cm (4.5”), length 11.5 cm (4.5”).
